What this site does

This is a personal site that presents my work. It sets no cookies, uses no analytics or tracking tools and loads no third-party resources: fonts, icons and images are served from the site's own domain.

Browsing data

The site is hosted on servers of Bluehost (Newfold Digital Inc.), the domain's hosting provider. Like any web service, the server records technical data about requests, such as the IP address and the browser type, for security reasons and to run the service; the provider processes it on my behalf under its own privacy policy, and I do not use it to identify you.

If you write to me

The form on the Contact page sends the message to a small service on the same hosting as the site, which delivers it to my mailbox: no third-party service, and no archive of messages on the site. To keep automated programs out, the service asks your browser to solve a short computation and keeps, for twenty-four hours, a hashed, irreversible fingerprint of your IP address to limit the number of submissions from the same connection. If you write to me, I process the data you choose to send (name, email address, the content of the message) to reply and, if a collaboration follows, to manage it. The legal basis is the performance of steps taken at your request and my legitimate interest in answering whoever contacts me. I keep the correspondence for as long as these purposes require and do not share it with anyone, unless the law requires it.

Preferences kept in your browser

Theme, language, the state of the panels and the choice not to see the welcome notification again are stored in your browser's localStorage, on your device only. They are sent to no one: they let the interface come back the way you left it. You can clear them from the site's settings, with "Reset preferences", or by clearing the site's data in your browser.

The pages link to GitHub, to LinkedIn and to the sites of the clients behind the projects. Each of them has its own notice: what is written here applies to this site only.

Your rights

You can ask for access to your data, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, object to processing and obtain portability by writing to info@riccardosapuppo.com. You can also lodge a complaint with the Italian data protection authority, the Garante per la protezione dei dati personali.
