Key features

  • • Load and unload lot by lot, across four container categories and several warehouses
  • • A save that would take out more than the stock on hand is refused
  • • Append-only movement log in plain sentences, readable without an interface
  • • The same log is parsed back to make corrections to an issued document safe
  • • The number of warehouses is data, not code

About the project

The screens a warehouse operator actually uses, inside the same WordPress platform as the ERP card above rather than beside it: the same backend file, the same REST routes, the same stored inventory. Load and unload work lot by lot across four container categories and several warehouses, and a save is refused outright if it would take out more than the stock on hand.

Every movement is appended to a log written in plain sentences — timestamp, delta from and to, lot, warehouse, operator — so a warehouseman can read it without an interface; and the document generator parses those same sentences back with a regular expression to work out how much a given document had already taken out, which is what makes a correction to an issued document safe. The number of warehouses is data rather than code: adding one is an edit to a JSON array, not a change to a screen.
